How to Verify Ownership of Your Listing
If your listing was suspended because of an invalid email or was set up by an SEO agent, don’t worry — you can reactivate or take ownership by verifying that you’re the true business owner.
Here’s how our verification process works:
Step 1: Email Confirmation
- Send us an email from your official company email address (example: [email protected]).
- In your message, please include:
- Your listing title (exact name of your business listing on directory9.net)
- Reason for your request (e.g., reactivation, ownership verification, or update).
- We will reply to that email, and you must reply back again to confirm you control the mailbox.
This step shows that you have access to your company's domain.
Step 2: Public Record Check
- We’ll cross-check your company details with public information.
- For example, we’ll check your company website, government business registry, or WHOIS records to confirm your business name matches your email domain.
Step 3: Supporting Document (if needed)
- If we cannot confirm ownership in Step 2, we may ask for a simple supporting document such as:
- A recent utility bill in the business name, or
- Your official business registration certificate
- Or the domain name invoice from the registry
This is only required if your email domain does not clearly link to your business.
What happens next
Once you complete the verification process, we’ll either:
- Reactivate your existing listing, or
- Provide you with new login details so you can securely manage your account.
